Christians Against Poverty (CAP)
CAP is a charity that gives free help to anyone in debt. A Debt Coach will walk you through options based on your circumstances, from which you can choose the best route to becoming debt free.

Newton Abbot Community Fridge
At The Courtenay Centre in Newton Abbot. We collect food that would go to waste and offer it to the local community to take as needed free of charge. We hope to work towards preventing food waste whilst offering local people a helping hand. It is run by Newton Abbot CIC and a team of volunteers. Volunteer drivers to collect/deliver food to the Centre, and service volunteers to check the fridge and its contents on a regular basis are required from time to time. Food Banks
HITS (Homeless In Teignbridge Support)
The food bank provides support for people in need throughout Teignbridge. Normal opening times are Mon-Fri, 10-4 although we do offer emergency cover at all times. We need a referral from an agency such as the Citizens Advice Bureau or Job Centre, who have assessed your need. The referrer must phone us on 01626 906371 or email info@hitsfoodbank.org

THAT foodbank provides essential food support to individuals and families experiencing hardship. Whether due to unexpected expenses, a change in circumstances, or ongoing financial difficulties, we’re here to make sure no one in our community goes without. Our services include emergency food parcels, meal provisions, and access to further resources that can help ease the burden, like Energy top ups, hygiene and cleaning packs and even homestart assistance.

Providing basic baby equipment, nappies, toiletries and clothing (up to 2 years of age) for families in the Teignbridge area who are struggling to make ends meet.
We welcome family referrals from all statutory and voluntary agencies.

Providing accessible, affordable transport and services for our local community. Supporting increased mobility,social contact and independence since 1991.
We are a small charity providing essential travel in the Newton Abbot area for anyone who is less able to get around. This could be due to illness, disability or lack of a bus route. We provide Shopmobility vehicles and wheelchairs for the town centre and longer term hire. We also provide daily living aids.
